Shooting Of 9 NPP Activists…Police Must Not Engage In “Selective Arrest”

Member of Parliament for Tema East constituency, Titus Glover has advised the Tamale Police Command not to be partial as they launch investigations into the shooting incident that happened last Thursday, prior to the National Delegates' Congress of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Titus Glover appealed the Police to get to the bottom of the case and ensure that the culprits are brought to book.

Speaking on U TV, he implored the Police Service to step up their game.

Prior to the NPP National Delegates' Conference held at Tamale, nine persons sustained gunshot wounds after some unknown assailant(s) open gunfire on them.

Several political figures including the NPP leadership have bemoaned the incident, calling on the Police to get to the bottom of the case.

Addressing the issue, Hon. Titus Glover admonished the Police not to do "selective arrest" but rather remain neutral as they investigate the shooting incident.

According to him, “if someone on the other side does a despicable thing, don’t protect him…We plead with the Police, step up your game and do the right thing. If they’re protecting someone, they should protect everybody.”
