NPP Will Suffer For Voting Out Nii Noi Nortey . . . It Was Lack Of Maturity - Kabila

James Kwabena Bomfeh has advised the defeated candidate of the Klottey-Korle constituency Nii Noi Nortey to join the Convention People's Party (CPP).

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', James Kwabena Bomfeh noted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has unfairly treated Nii Noi Nortey who first won the seat and lost out to Lawyer Philip Addison when the constituency elections were re-held on Saturday.

James Kwabena Bomfeh, also called Kabila, told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that the CPP has extended open arms to Nii Noi Nortey to contest on the ticket of the party.

“I will advise him to come and contest on our ticket. CPP needs candidates. We will waver some of our constitutional requirements. He should come and contest on the ticket of the CPP.”

He added that due to the court action against Dr. Zanetor Rawlings who also won the constituency elections on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and also looking at Lawyer Philip Addison who will now contest the Parliamentary elections for the NPP, the CPP is the only and better choice for the constituency.

He believes Nii Noi Nortey will make a good candidate for the CPP.

“What occurred showed lack of tact, maturity and experience on the part of the NPP as an institution. They dealt wrongly with that matter and they will suffer it.”
