Deputy
Information Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has described the Executive
Director of the Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, as a
“master of manipulation”.
According to him, with Otchere-Darko’s
infamous expertise, it is not surprising that he would make disparaging
remarks about the nine Justices who sat on the election petition between
leaders of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Electoral
Commission, which was intended to revoke the legitimacy of President
John Dramani Mahama.
Gabby Otchere-Darko is reportedly quoted in the media to have accused the judges of delivering a ‘corrupt’ verdict.
He is also alleged to have dared them to cite him for contempt of court on his facebook wall.
Speaking
in an interview with Radio Gold, Felix Kwakye Ofosu explained that the
comments by Gabby are not intended for the Judges but rather to “cause
sympathy for Nana Akufo Addo in order that he can once again contest the
flagbearer position of the NPP in 2016 or in the alternative, he can
back Dr. Mahamudu Bawuamia to contest the 2016 flagbearership of the New
Patriotic Party.”
He expressed no surprise over such remarks
because, to him, Gabby’s trademark is to manipulate the minds of people
in order to project Nana Addo and his Running mate Dr. Bawumia for the
2016 Presidential race.
“Nobody can underestimate the expertise
that Gabby Otchere-Darko has…He is a master at manipulating people’s
minds into believing in things that really do not exist.” he stated, and
urged members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party “who
legitimately may want to make a claim to the flagbearership position of
that to wise up and see through the tricks being played by Gabby
Otchere-Darko. Otherwise, they will stand to be the losers.”
