I Love To Sing "Love Songs"..I Also Need Money Though - Ofori Amponsah

Pastor Ofori Amponsah, formerly called "Mr. All for Real" in the Ghanaian highlife music scene, has taken a swift U-turn into his world of music after announcing his exit from the entertainment industry.

Ofori Amponsah, in July 2012, told the nation about an encounter with his Maker and informed his music fans that he was going to honour the "calling of God."

But three years down memory lane, Pastor Ofori Amponsah has returned to the highlife music scene leaving many Ghanaians to wonder if he is backsliding or he was rather mocking his Maker.

Though several Ghanaians will have their own reasons for the highlife icon's return to Ghana's entertainment industry; Ofori Amponsah has for the first time revealed his passion for releasing a new single dubbed "Alewa".

According to him, he loves to sing "love songs" and so, thought of a comeback.

He further disclosed that his comeback is not because he is broke or better still couldn't find luck in his walk with God but rather, Mr. All for Real apparently cares for his fans and believes "love" is his first purpose in life.

Speaking in an interview with Naa Ayorkor on Empire 102.7, Ofori Amponsah also threw a jibe at R2bees member and AMG CEO Criss Waddle for taking a swipe at him (Ofori Amponsah).

Criss Waddle wrote on his Facebook page that "Ofori Amponsah God never called you, in fact he didn’t even Flash you!!! Why exactly are you back to highlife??S3 Sesia wo p3 Kakra #‎AMGToTHEBLOODCLATWORLD #‎akaBaako

But according to Ofori Amponsah, he has built mansions and achieved a lot in life; so that's not the main reason why he is creeping back into the world of music.

"I love it when I sing a love song and people enjoy it. That's my first purpose. If it's about money, tell Criss Waddle to come and inspect my achievements; my school, my mansions...But I need money though." he said.

Award-winning highlife musician-turned Pastor released a new single dubbed "Alewa" featuring the Rapperholic Sarkodie, last Friday.

This year, he announced that he was returning to secular music insisting that his fans were missing him.

Ofori Amponsah is the Head Pastor for the Family of Faith and Love Ministries.
