Sunyani Chief's Promise Of Victory To Prez Mahama Shows His Sycophancy... - Owusu Bempah

Communications Director of the National Democratic Party (NDP) has expressed disgust at the Paramount Chief of Sunyani, Nana Bosoma Asor Nkrawiri's remarks about President John Dramani Mahama and his administration.

The Paramount Chief touted the achievements of President John Mahama and promised that the Brong Ahafo Region will vote massively for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), come 2016.

He made this revelation when President John Dramani Mahama called on him during the President's "Changing Lives" tour of the Eastern Region and Dormaa in the Brong Ahafo Region.

According to Nana Bosoma Asor, the people of Brong Ahafo Region will cast 80% votes in favour of President John Mahama.

He stated at a public gathering that “the 80% is a promise. Other regions can promise 50% but we are going to give you 80%."

In a quick riposte to the Chief's comments, the NDP Communications Director believes he (Nana Bosoma Asor) has exposed his "sycophantic" position and therefore is apparently doing the bidding of the Mahama-led government.

Addressing the issue further on Atinka FM, Owusu Bempah noted that the Chief should have seized the opportunity to champion the interest of the residents in the Region.

To him, instead of assuring the President of a landslide victory from the Region; Nana Bosoma Asor had the golden opportunity to present the concerns of his people before the President.

Alluding to some untold hardships confronting the indigenes which he expects the Chief to have addressed to President Mahama, he held strongly "that everybody in Sunyani and its environs will be disappointed in Nana...They will be so disappointed in you."
