Just
hours before the Supreme Court Justices gives their verdict on the
Presidential election petition, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West;
Ursula Owusu has urged security agencies in the country to exercise
their duties without fear or favour.
Speaking on Oman FM’s
political programme, Hon. Ursula Owusu admonished the security services,
particularly the Police Service, not to spare any party leader should
they incite their followers to instigate riot in the nation.
According
to her, they (security agencies) should deal squarely with any hoodlums
who may emerge in the aftermath of the court ruling, regardless of
their party affiliations and to her, “even if President Mahama incites
some people to contravene the law, they should deal with him according
to the law regardless of his position. The same thing should be done to
Nana Addo or any of our party leaders.”
The security forces, she
stated, should act professionally because to her, “until we get to the
point that the law will be no respecter of persons, we will keep
suffering.” |
