Former
National Youth Organizer of the Convention People's Party (CPP), James
Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr., has chastised President John Dramani Mahama,
claiming he never prepared himself for the Presidency.
He bemoaned the president's inability to fighting corruption in his government and the country.
Making
his submissions on Oman FM regarding the state of economy and the
infamous judgment debt cases that characterized the NDC government,
Kabila, as he is affectionately called, carefully detached him
(President Mahama) from his campaign mantra prior to the December 2012
elections where he described himself as a "northerner" for President.
According
to him, it was senseless for his fanatics to vote for him just because
he was a "northerner". In his view, President Mahama should rather be
dealt with as an individual who has failed to combat corruption in the
nation.
"John Mahama as a person; he never prepared himself for
leadership at the Presidency...John Mahama should know that it’s not
just about him (John Mahama, the person). He is also representing a
class; a group of people that he shouldn’t disgrace them.”
Touching
on the hullabaloo regarding judgment debts in the country, Kabila gave
the President a 24-hour ultimatum to "walk the talk and show that you
have nothing to do with these monies which were wrongly paid and let’s
see if we won’t get the money.”
He also lambasted the first
Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Ebo Barton-Odro, over his alleged
involvement in the judgment debt scandal.
To him, Mr. Barton Oduro does not deserve to hold his position in government for complicity in the fraudulent deals.
"You
may think you’re getting away with this. You’re the first Deputy
Speaker, it’s good. But I’m telling you know that you don’t deserve that
seat. You don’t,” he told Mr. Barton-Odro. |
