President Mahama releases first batch of Ministers

Former Deputy Education Minister, Mahama Ayariga has been appointed as the Minister of Information.

He replaces the immediate past Information Minister and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South, Fritz Baffour.

Meanwhile, other officials listed in President John Mahama's first batch of Ministerial appointments are the former Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Collins Dauda who replaces E.T Mensah at the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing.

Member of Parliament for Sissala West, Alhaji Amin Sulemana has been appointed as the Minister of Roads and Highways while Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, Tamale Central Member of Parliament and former Deputy Energy Minister heads towards the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.

Nana Oye Lithur, Gender Activist of the Human Rights Advocacy Centre, also has been appointed as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection; a newly created Ministry.

The list also includes:

Dr Edward Omane Boamah as Ministry of Communications.

Dr Oteng Adjei; Ministry of Environment and Technology.
