Bawku Leaders to hold meeting today over shooting incidents

The Bawku Municipal Security Committee will hold  meeting on Thursday to resolve the recent shooting incidents in the area.

Leaders of the Mamprusis and Kusasis, the Clergy, Security heads and Civil Society Orgainzations are expected to take part in the meeting.

During the meeting, discussions will be held to find out solutions to the recent uproar in Bawku.

According to the Bawku Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Abdulai Musah, , “so far so good, since Monday we haven’t recorded any criminal activities, shooting or any violent attacks and so we are working around the clock with the right people to ensure that the situation will even improve for the better”.

He explained that the meeting is “to discuss how we can push our efforts in trying to maintain law and order and live in a peaceful environment.”
