Tsatsu Tsikata to lead NDC Legal team

Tsatsu Tsikata has been named among the National Democratic Congress’ legal team which will contest the petition by the New Patriotic Party at the Supreme Court.

He will join three other top-notch lawyers to battle it out with main opposition party when the case commences in the highest court of the land.

The three lawyers; Nana Ato Dadzie, Dominic Ayine and the former Chief of Staff, Tony Lithur, will be on the defensive side of the National Democratic Congress.

Tsatsu Tsikata will lead the NDC legal team.

Deputy Finance Minister, Fiifi Kwetey disclosed this in an interview with Citi FM.

According to him, the NPP will lose the case in court because it lacks the logical basis to prove its weight in the law court.

He also quoted Tsatsu Tsikata as saying; the NPP’s petition is factually empty, legally pathetic, poor in arithmetic and poorer in logic.

He questioned the arithmetic calculations by the NPP to arrive at their findings.

“How many people voted in Ghana? They came up with 14 million people.”, Fiifi Kwetey stated.

He asserted:  “It takes people who have absolutely unprecedented probity in arithmetic to come out with fact that Ledzokuku had 67,000 for President John Mahama when the whole world knew that John Mahama had 53,000. It will come out with similar once for other constituencies and later on run away from it.”
