Kabila Gives Health Ministry Thumps UP

Former National Youth Organizer of the Convention People's Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh has commended the Ministry of Health for issuing a directive to the management of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to thoroughly look into the alleged missing stillbirth baby saga.

James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly known as Kabila, praised the sector Minister, Sherry Ayitey for taking a bold step to ensure that the truth is unraveled.

The Ministry of Health, at the behest of Hon. Sherry Ayitey issued a directive to the management of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to produce 5 babies reported dead at the facility. The Ministry has given the hospital an ultimatum of 14 days to launch investigations into the case.

This comes after heated arguments on the air waves and by the general public regarding a missing baby at the hospital early this month. The family of the baby suspects a conspiracy attempt by the doctors and the nurses to steal their child, who is said to have died moments after the mother gave birth it to it.

Other reports show that there were 16 deliveries on the same day but five out of the babies were declared dead at birth.

In view of this, the doctor on duty, the head of midwifery on duty and a cleaner have all been sanctioned by the hospital authorities.

Speaking on Oman FM, Kabila advised the Ministry and authorities of the hospital not to back down on their decision to find a lasting solution to the problem. He described the move by the Health Ministry is a positive one.
