Alfred
Ogbamey, Human Rights Activist and Journalist, has expressed faith in
the Mahama-led government, saying the government will achieve massive
socio-economic development in its four-year administration.
Speaking to Peacefmonline.com,
Mr. Ogbamey believed the Mahama government can salvage the economy and
so, in his estimation, Ghanaians should not expect anything "worse" from
the incumbent administration.
According to him, nobody can
convince him that President John Dramani Mahama and his government will
not attempt to improve Ghana's economic situation.
Quoting a popular verse by Ex-President Kufour, during his reign, Alfred Ogbamey, who is also the Editor of the “Gye Nyame Concord”
which he stated as "It will get worse before it gets better"; Alfred
Ogbamey sought to remind Ghanaians that though it won't be easy to
combat all the challenges facing the nation, it is however worth their
while to remain patient.
“I have faith that it can’t get worse
than this. I believe strongly that it will get better…Nobody can
convince me that it’s going to continue like this for four years…I do
not think it will get worse than where we are at the moment. I only can
expect that at least by the second quarter, things should stabilize,” he
stated. |
