NPP Delegates Must Punish Contestants Who Wage Vile Propaganda Against Their Competitors

Aspiring National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Sammy Awuku has called on the party delegates to "punish" aspirants in the party to deter them from backbiting one another.

Speaking on Oman FM, Sammy Awuku expressed displeasure with the new trend in the NPP where the leaders including aspirants in the party denigrate each other as a ploy to get to the top.

According to him, it does not augur well for the party's image, especially as they are bracing themselves for the 2016 general elections. He admonished the party faithfuls to penalize "anybody who wages vile campaign" against his or her opponent as the NPP gears up to elect new members for leadership positions in the party.

Sammy Awuku urged the rank and file of the party, in so doing, to be wary of their choice of words against their opponents in the primaries.

“This is a good platform for them. They should punish people who wages vile propaganda against their colleagues. The delegates should punish such individuals…I think it’s a fine opportunity for delegates to punish anybody who wages vile campaign because at the end of the day, we want one strong united NPP family to move on.

“And this goes to the leadership and the party faithfuls…If you love NPP, let your attitude, character and speech be reflective in every activity you undertake as we jostle each other positions towards election 2016,” he added.
