Information reaching aameyaw.blogspot.com indicates that former Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang will be heading the Education Ministry in the Mahama-led administration.
Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has been appointed as Education Minister in President John Mahama’s first batch of Ministerial appointments.
Other appointees released are Clement Humado who has been moved from the Sports Ministry to the Ministry of Agriculture and Seth Terkper who takes over from the immediate past Finance Minister Kwabena Duffour.
Akwesi Oppong Fosu will be the New Minister of Local Government and Rural Development.
The appointees are to be vetted by the Parliament Appointments committee.
Meanwhile, outgoing Ministers are to keep maintain their portfolios in caretaker capacities as the new appointees go through vetting.
