Dr. Nduom is fit for the December polls; a medical report declares him healthy
Presidential candidate for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has been declared healthy to contest the Presidential race and undertake any other administrative duties.

He was declared physically and mentally sound by the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom underwent a medical test in fulfilment of his campaign pledge to make his health status public.

A report released by the hospital indicated that Dr. Nduom was not exposed to any health hazards and therefore was fit to run for the Presidential slot. The declaration comes on the heels of Dr. Nduom’s pledge to submit to medical check-up and make known his health status to all Ghanaians as part of his campaign strategy.

He urged all Presidential candidates to imitate his footsteps in order to ensure a transparent government and as a sign of good leadership. Commenting on the medical report, he stated “there are areas that there are no problems, there are areas I have to work on, and there are areas I have to watch.

Also with blood works, I requested  that they should do an HIV test and that test is negative. All the blood test in terms of the blood sugar in my blood, prostate, those things are okay.”

Head of the Public Health Unit at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Philip Amoo, who examined Dr. Ndoum commended him for taking such a giant step.

According to him, “it was a good example of what we expect people holding positions in Ghana and every Ghanaian to be doing at least annually.” Dr. Nduom has promised to take good care of himself in order to stay healthy. "I need to learn to take even better care of myself so that the cholesterol doesn't become a problem for me.”, he said.
