Martin Amidu appears before court today

Former Attorney General, Martin Amidu, will appear in court today to continue his suit against bankroller Alfred Agbesi Woyome.

Mr. Martin Amidu filed a writ at the Supreme Court to contest the justification of the judgment debt paid to businessman Alfred Woyome.

He is also challenging the Attorney General for ordering the payment of judgment debts to Waterville and Austro-Invest.

According to him, the order by the Attorney General is in contravention to Articles 181(3), (4), (5), and (6) of the 1992 Constitution.

He argued that the Attorney General has not shown interest in ensuring the controversial judgement debt is retrieved.

Mr. Amidu is seeking for a refund of the money paid out to Alfred Woyome, Waterville and Austro-Invest.
