President John Mahama urges Ghanaians to be peaceful

President John Dramani Mahama on Sunday urged supporters of the National Democratic Congress and all Ghanaians to ensure peace in the nation.

He advised electorates to avoid violence and snub persons who may perpetrate violence in the elections. This he indicated will contribute to the peace the nation craves for.

President Mahama made these remarks during his campaign tour to the Ashanti Region.

He toured Juaso, Agogo, Kumawu, Nsuta, Ejura and Mampong admonishing the residents not to act in a way that would have an adverse toll on the nation’s peace.

He pledged his commitment to maintaining peace in the country and charged persons who may attempt to cause violence in the general elections to desist from such attitude.
