Police investigates leaked tape of Anthony Karbo
Police have commenced investigations into the recent leaked tape purported to have the voice of the former National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Anthony Karbo, which tend to incite people against the smooth administration of the general elections. Anthony karbo, now Parliamentary candidate for Lawra constituency in the Upper West Region, is quoted on the tape to allegedly devising a plot to employ the services of mercenaries from Libya, Liberia and other neighbouring African countries to destabilize the elections on December 7. Lawyer for Anthony Karbo, Egbert Faible speaking to Citi FM, disclosed that his client has been granted bail after writing down his statement. He said: “A caution statement was taken from him that he is being investigated for breaches of the public peace, I mean conduct that is offensive to breaches of public peace which is Section 207 of the criminal and other offences Act, Act 29.” “That has been done and he was granted bail. Mr. Oware stood surety for him so we are out of here.” Present at the Police administration were the NPP first National Chairman, Esther Ofori, Mr. Fred Oware and some members of the party.
