Former MCEs and DCEs go gaga

Some former Municipal and District Chief Executives of the previous Kufour regime have expressed disgust over actions by the governing National Democratic Congress.

The former MCEs and DCEs are angry with the government for claiming ownership of projects executed by the New Patriotic Party under former President Kufour’s administration.

According to them, the NDC is taking credit for projects commissioned during the NPP era.

They explained that several projects, in Ashanti Region, incorporated in the documentaries and brochures of the NDC were executed before the exit of the New Patriotic Party in 2008.

The incensed former MCEs and DCEs are therefore calling on the government to withdraw such documentaries.

Erstwhile DCE for Bosomtwe in the Ashanti Region, Asamoah Boateng, describes the actions by the ruling NDC as an affront to the residents.

The aggrieved former MCEs and DCEs are also calling for an apology from the governing party.
