Member
of Parliament (MP) for Ahafo-Ano South Constituency, Hon. Stephen Kwaku
Balado Manu has admonished Ghanaians not to repose their trust in the
NDC government.
Making his submissions on Oman FM on Monday, Hon.
Balado Manu noted that the government’s inability to initiate its
one-time premium policy on the National Health Insurance Scheme is a
clear indication of the NDC's deceit.
Alluding to previous
position taken by the ruling party when erstwhile Kufour government
initiated the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to address the
health needs of the Ghanaian masses, he cautioned the entire populace to
be wary of the ruling party.
According to him, the NDC
functionaries vehemently rejected their predecessor's offer and
convinced Ghanaians that when voted into power, they would carry on
their one-time premium but over the years, they have not been able to
implement their policy; hence revealing the character of the NDC.
To
him, the government officials are "wolves in a sheep skin" and have
thrown dust in the eyes of Ghanaians; a reason why they have failed to
introduce their one-time NHIS premium.
He found their alibi that
it would be "premature" to undertake the policy currently, a fallacy,
therefore stressing that he doesn’t “trust them (NDC) a bit…If Ghanaians
are very vigilant, then nobody who has Ghana as a country at heart,
trust the NDC that they want the best for the country,” he stated.
