Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency has commended Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson; actor,Van Vicker and their colleague celebrities who led the Dumsormuststop vigil on Saturday May 16, 2015.
The Dumsormuststop vigil was successfully organized by the Ghanaian celebrities to register their dissatisfaction with President John Dramani Mahama's inability to resolve the power crises.
Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Hon. Kyeremateng Agyarko was particularly delighted that it was not mainstream politicians but "ordinary" Ghanaians and civil societies who staged such protest against the Mahama administration.
He was also happy that the celebrities chose his constituency for the street protest because according to him, the vigil has cleared the notion that his constituents are well-off and not affected by the power problems. |
