Kweku Baako, Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, says the critics who have made it their business to discuss NPP Assin Central Member of Parliament,Kennedy Agyapong's accusations against leading members of his party are "hypocrites."
Speaking to host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Kweku Baako bemoaned the hypocritical posture of the ruling National Democratic Congress on the matter.
According to him, though Kennedy Agyapong incriminated former Chief of Staff Kojo Mpianim and implicitly pointed fingers at Ex-President John Agyekum Kufour for orchestrating the acid attack on the NPP Upper East Regional Chairman, Adams Mahama; the critics, particularly the ruling party, has no right making such issues their business.
This he said is because the governing NDC is as guilty as Kennedy Agyapong.
To him, the critics' posture is as if what is happening in the NPP is exclusive to the opposition party when they (NDC) already have cobwebs in their wardrobe.
“Is this the first time that somebody is pointing accusing fingers at President Kufour relative to murder? Cut out the hypocrisy, man. Let’s stop that thing. Anybody who is listening to my submission will know that I condemn any reference by whoever to President Kufour or Kojo Mpianim as murderers. I am condemning that in principle…"
Kweku Baako further stressed that they (critics) are rather suffering from selective amnesia which has made them forget the treatment that they have been meting out to Ex-President Kufour.
He alluded to name callings that the NDC gave to former President Kufour (calling him a murderer) during the murder of Overlord in the North.
"I’m also telling people that there are hypocrites out there. People who are suffering from selective amnesia and pretend they are not as guilty as the man who is peddling that murderous allegation against JAK and Kojo Mpianim,” he fumed.
