NPP Communicator, Nana Boakye has condemned the acid attack on the party's Upper East Regional Chairman, Mahama Adams, and advised his party members and supporters not to resort to violence to thrash out their dissenting views.
Expressing condolence to the family of the deceased, he strongly appealed to the Ghana Police Command to treat the incident as purely criminal case.
Speaking on Peace FM's Morning Show "Kokrokoo", Nana Boakye stated that the culprits should not be spared but made to face the full rigors of the law.
“Let’s treat this as a purely criminal matter. This is a purely criminal matter. This is murder, straight. Let’s allow the Police to do their job appropriately,” he said.
This, he believed, will serve as a deterrent to other.
The late Mahama Adams was attacked by some unknown assailants Wednesday evening upon entering his house.
The assailants are reported to have poured a corrosive substance on the entire body of Mr. Adams which led to his sudden death at the Bolgatanga Hospital Thursday morning.
