Eastern Regional Minister Victor Smith has warned former President Rawlings not to hassle the current government under the leadership of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.
He cautioned Mr. Rawlings not to repeat his incessant heckles he showed during the late Ex-President John Mills’ regime.
Mr. Rawlings has over the last four years been critical of the National Democratic Congress, therefore questioning the integrity of some party stalwarts.
He has been a key critic of the party and on many occasions lambasted the former President John Evans Atta Mills for harbouring what he calls “Old evil dwarfs” and “Greedy bastards" in government and at the helm of affairs of the party.
But this time, the Volta Regional Minister Victor Smith hoped former President Rawlings would use the appropriate channel to address his concerns but not spew them in the same manner under President Mills’ administration.
He prayed Mr. Rawlings to ease up on President Mahama under his new tenure.
He hoped that “he (President Rawlings) doesn’t engage us in what happened in the last four years; Taking on and literally harassing government” and so, advised him not to let it “happen with the John Mahama administration.”
