I am the only candidate who is incorruptible – Dr. Nduom

Flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has assured Ghanaians of an incorruptible governance under his leadership when voted into power on Friday, December 7.

He said the inability of the candidates aspiring for the Presidential seat to reveal their assets and the sources of their campaign funds, vindicates him as the only trustworthy candidate to lead Ghana.

He explained that the two major parties’ leaders are “hiding behind a legal smokescreen” and are saying “when a law compels them to be transparent and accountable, they will comply.’

But to him, the leaders are not putting up an exemplary leadership.

“Sadly, they miss the point that you lead from the front. Moral persuasion is the best teacher, moral authority is the one that lasts a lifetime and they have failed to take the moral path to leadership.” he emphasized.

As part of steps to enhance transparency and accountability among Presidential candidates, Dr. Nduom who has been the forerunner of this ideology, disclosed at a media briefing the sources of funding for the Progressive People’s Party and documents unveiling his tax returns and assets.

A couple of months ago, Dr. Nduom also made public his health status after a medical check-up at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital in Accra.

He was given a clean bill which proved that he was fit to contest the Presidential slot.

Briefing the media, he implored Ghanaians to make a choice between “pretenders and doers. While the pretenders talk, a doer like Papa Kwesi Nduom will take strong, bold steps and do will make this nation great and strong by ridding this country of corruption.”

He continued that “I am human, but on the platform of incorruptible leadership, I stand alone. I stand alone as the only one in the Presidential race, this year, willing to make a personal sacrifice. Politics in Ghana will never be the same again.”

Dr. Nduom further elaborated on the selection criteria of many Ghanaians which he stressed tend to produce “mediocre results”.

“If we continue our historical voting pattern, we will continue to get our historical, sub-par and mediocre results; and this happens because we do not demand that our politicians meet the minimum standards necessary to be President.”

“Because this is Ghana we put leaders here who don’t have the competence and who will do just about anything just to be elected, President.”
