Mahama appoints Amissah-Arthur as chair of Transition Team




President John Dramani Mahama has, in accordance with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845) appointed a twenty-two (22) member Transition Team to manage the transition to a new administration.

According to a release from the Office of the President, the Transitional Team will be chaired by Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.

The statement, signed by Presidential Spokesperson Abdulai Jinapor, said President Mahama has also designated an Advisory Council chaired by the speaker of Parliament, Joyce Bamford-Addo.

President Mahama will be sworn into office January 7 at the Independence Square, Accra.
