Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur joined the
family of the late Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama to observe his seventh day
adua in Tamale.
The seventh day adua which came off on Sunday also
saw in attendance a delegation from the New Patriotic Party including their
Vice Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Christian Clergy, a Nigerian
delegation led by the Nigerian Ambassador to Ghana and some traditional heads
in the country.
During the occasion, Muslims from the length and
breadth of the country recited some sections of the Quran to honour the late
Vice, Alhaji Aliu Mahama.
Late Vice President, Aliu Mahama, passed away at
the Intensive Care Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on November 16.
He died of an undisclosed illness and was buried at
his residence in Tamale.
The adua ceremony will also be observed at Yendi,
the hometown of the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama, on Thursday.
