NPP assures Ghanaians of violence-free elections
The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has vowed his commitment to ensuring peace in the elections come December.
He intimated his willingness to desist from any kind of intimidation ahead of the December polls and urged party functionaries to do same.
Nana Addo said this in Kumasi over the weekend at the Baba Yara Sports stadium where the New Patriotic Party held its praise and prayer service to ask for the blessing of God.
Speaking to thousands of party fanatics and supporters, he prayed the elections become violence-free and therefore any insurgents should be tamed by God in order to enhance peace and unity in the country.
He highlighted: “For those who have planned violence for this country, we pray to God Almighty to touch their hearts so that they can rescind their decision. Ghana is the only country we have; we need you out there to go vote in December so that we can kick out this incompetent administration to regain its past glory.”
Former President John Agyekum Kufour who touted the dream and promises of the New Patriotic Party in providing free S.H.S education to the masses, also threw his weight behind the Presidential candidate, Nana Addo, to maintain peace as the election approaches.
“All we want is peace. Ghanaians want peace so that at the end of the day, whoever is declared winner, we will all accept it and remain peaceful,” he said.
